Spokane’s New HypnoBirthing Classes
By Tine Reese
August 31, 2010I am thrilled to announce that we have three new HypnoBirhting educators in Spokane! Here’s a quick overview of HypnoBirthing and information about each of our new local teachers. Please be in touch with them individually if you are interested in taking a class.
The HypnoBirthing website is a great place to find more information on the philosophy and techniques of his method of birthing. “The method teaches you that, in the absence of fear and tension, or special medical circumstances, severe pain does not have to be an accompaniment of labor.
You will gain an understanding of how the birthing muscles work in perfect harmony–as they were designed to–when your body is sufficiently relaxed and you trust birth. You will learn how to achieve this kind of relaxation, free of the resistance that fear creates, and you will learn to use your natural birthing instincts for a calm, serene and comfortable birth.”
I studied HypnoBirthing before the births of my two children and found it to be a very effective technique, especially when fear is not a part of the labor and delivery equation!
Rinzen Shay Kruger
(509) 218-0562
Rinzen is the mother of three children and likes HypnoBirthing because the classes offer mom and dad the opportunity to study together and focus on their child. Dads can learn a lot too! Rinzen teaches group HypnoBirthing classes at the Lavender Sage Wellness Center on the South Hill and offers private classes as well. In addition to teaching childbirth classes, she has her own massage practice at Lavender Sage and is a lactation educator at Spokane’s WIC Program. In the future she will be offering doula services and postpartum/newborn classes to address the issues of bringing your baby home.
Leylan Salzer
(509) 607-5814
Following the calm and natural birth of her own son, Leylan believes that many more women can benefit from HypnoBirthing® to remove their fears surrounding birth. Her mission is to help raise awareness of natural childbirth in the Inland Northwest and remove the unfounded fears that many women have about giving birth naturally. She teaches private classes and will come to your home when it is convenient for you. In the future, she plans to offer postpartum doula services and baby planning as well.
Xylina Weaver
(509) 448-1006
Xylina has used HypnoBirthing for the births of her own two children, both in the hospital and at home. She believes that HypnoBirthing offers women a unique way to experience birth that is comfortable, natural and rewarding. She will be teaching classes in Spokane starting this fall. If you are interested in group classes, please call Xylina directly to inquire about upcoming dates and times. Xylina is also a birth and postpartum doula who specializes in helping new moms with breastfeeding.
