Birth Stories

Reading birth stories is a great way to find out about all the different types of births other women have experienced. Their stories are a source of inspiration and will educate you on the many different, sometimes unexpected, things that can happen on birth day.

Every birth is a unique and personal journey. Some things we have control over and some of it will be a surprise! If we come to birth as empowered women, remain flexible, stay in the moment and move with our bodies and our babies, we come prepared!

John Elliot’s Birth
Sara and Michael share the story of their second child’s birth—a gentle, peaceful HBAC (Home Birth After Cesarean) that followed on the heels of a traumatic c-section birth. This mama listened to her body, had great support and accomplished her goal of a vaginal birth.

Raychel Joye’s Birth
In this one, Dad came up with the idea of an out-of-hospital birth and mama Krysann decided on giving birth at a birth center after much consideration… and the life-long expectation that she would go to the hospital for an epidural.

Theia’s Birth
Read the story of a beautiful home birth that came on the heels of a previous c-section and hospital VBAC. This mom recounts all 3 of her birth stories and the path that led her to choose a home birth.

Connor’s Birth
This amazing natural birth took place in the hospital with a certified nurse midwife. It tells of how one mom overcame her “game day” fears by putting her faith in her own body’s abilities…and some great support from dad!
