DOULAS
If a Doula were a drug, it would be unethical not to use it.

It is my goal to help a woman experience her pregnancy and birth as a physical, emotional and spiritual journey. I encourage a woman to find the seed of consciousness that pregnancy and birth can bring to her. Then I help her to grow and strengthen that seed until it blooms into the beautiful flower of motherhood.
I use all my background as a yoga teacher as well as specific training in pregnancy and birth. I also attended doula training at Seattle Midwifery School. I use my innate ability to weave all these things together to best serve my clients in their births. See the Harmony Yoga profile to read about Cara’s pre- and post-natal yoga classes.
Client Testimonials
“Cara Wright was such a beautiful part of my daughter’s perfect birth. She spent weeks helping us get ready for the big day, answering all of my questions, suggesting a yoga practice to prepare my body, helping me with a reading list and natural supplements, and talking with me about the natural, drug-free VBAC I wanted and how to increase my chances of being successful. When I went into labor in the middle of the night she was ready to dive right in and spent hours encouraging me, suggesting labor and delivery positions and generally comforting and soothing me as I worked to bring my daughter into the world. Cara’s presence helped empower me and take pressure off of my loving husband. She stayed with us until we were settled and then called and visited us in the first hours and days of our babymoon. I highly recommend Cara and wouldn’t give birth without her.”
