It is my goal to help a woman experience her pregnancy and birth as a physical, emotional and spiritual journey. I encourage a woman to find the seed of consciousness that pregnancy and birth can bring to her. Then I help her to grow and strengthen that seed until it blooms into the beautiful flower of motherhood. I use my understanding of birth and knowledge of the female body to help a woman understand how to be an active participant in her birth. I advocate for a woman’s needs and desires in the birth space and, if necessary, mediate to help her achieve an empowered birth. I have experiences at all birth locations with all care providers: hospital (OB, Family Practice, Certified Nurse Midwife), birth center and home birth (midwives). References available upon request.
