I am consistently awed by the combination of power and surrender in every birth. I can help with pain coping, positioning, gathering information, relaxation techniques, massage, aromatherapy, etc. I have been a part of many different births with many different outcomes. I am here for you!
I attended the Birth Doula Training Course at Bates Technical College in Tacoma, WA and have completed all the necessary requirements for certification through DONA, Tacoma Labor Companions, and Pacific Association of Labor Support. I have attended a fairly wide variety of births and helped all different kinds of moms. I, myself, am the mother of 2 very busy children, Emma age 10 and Gabriel age 8. I am a stay at home mom, so I have a very flexible schedule. I had a doula in attendance for both my births and am very satisfied with my birth experiences. I will never, however, bring my birth experience, and/or preferences to your birth. My job is to support you in whatever choices are appropriate for you.
There are statisics out there about how doulas positively affect birth outcomes, but more importantly, as a doula, I am there to serve you in whatever way necessary. I will assist you at your home, birth center or hospital. Contact me for availability and prices.
